Role Overview & Primary Accountabilities:

Qualify marketing generated leads by researching potential customers and reaching out for initial conversations with customers to:

Identify the business problem they are addressing (Need)

Determine the urgency/ timeframe in which they need a solution (Timing)

Identify the decision-makers (Authority)

Determine if they have the Budget

  • Develop leads to seamlessly hand off to Sales teams to pursue opportunities.

  • Follow-up with lost KCP accounts to regain those customers.

  • Bridge Sales and Marketing to drive demand for new business (greenfield) leads that are then worked by the Business Development Manager

  • Partner with Marketing team to define “customer personas” in targeted segments to maximize impact of marketing programs.

  • Active participant in trade discussions forums to promote KCP solutions and build awareness of KCP expertise in the relevant industries and segments.

  • Executes sales strategies for achieving own targets by managing sales opportunities and pipelines. 

  • Utilizes Salesforece.com (SFDC), Sales Territory Plan (STP), and Daily Call Plan to retain existing business and manage opportunities. The activities aforementioned are also required for reporting purposes.

  • Approaches selected end-users and distributors, applying Strategic Key Account Management Skills and Distributor Management skills for growth and business retention under the supervision of the Commercial Leader and his/her Distributor Development Manager.

  • Ensures quality and quantity of customer calls via scheduled phone calls and face to face meetings with selected direct accounts, distributors, and distributor accounts in coordination and supervision of the Commercial Leader and his/her Distributor Development Manager.

Distributor Development Manager (DDM):

Support DDM in execution of projects with high level of alignment on desirable outputs and tactical plans which are tied in company strategies for assigned distributors. Provide leadership, resources, motivation and coaching to assigned distributor sales team to ensure that each one successfully reaches his goal and honors his commitments.

Cluster Marketing Team

Manage assigned distributor’s sales team to execute marketing programs in effective and efficient manner for assigned key accounts and distributors. Provide timely feedback on market situation, competitor’s activities, and customer’s needs to accelerate market penetration and base business retention. Proactively engage in the design and implementation of leads generation and leads management campaigns and process for optimum results

Commercial Excellence Team

Consistently provide feedback to Commercial Excellence Team on Distributor Sales Team’s capability building needs to ensure that the distributor sales team achieves sales effectiveness KPIs, and sales & profit targets. Co-owns assigned distributor sales team’s capability and effectiveness with the DDM through understanding the analytics and reports provided by assigned distributors (e.g. Sell Out Data, inventory reports, and Business Review data), to provide guidance in developing, prioritizing, executing, and monitoring any business initiatives to ensure Improvement in Sales Capability and Effectiveness consistently.

Distributors:

Maintains professional business relationships with selected key distributors and provides regular analyses, feedback and reports on performance trends. Executes business plans of KCP Distributor Development Manager with assigned distributors to ensure growth of KCP business.

End-users: 

Establish and maintain healthy business partnerships with assigned direct and indirect accounts through periodic account calls. Ensure that professional sales service is provided, and output meets or exceeds expectations.

Qualifications/Education/Experience Required:

  • Undergraduate degree is required.  Proficient in computer software Excel, Microsoft Word, and Power Point. 

  • At least 3 years of successful telemarketing or sales experience with key accounts and distributors.

  • 4-year College degree – any business-related course is an advantage

  • Preferably with business-to-business sales background

  • Demonstrated competence and success in prior sales post; having initiative, flexibility, patience, and personal integrity are absolute requirements

  • Fluency in oral and written communication

  • Computer literate with willingness to upgrade his/her computer knowledge / skills

  • Demonstrated ability to coach and transfer knowledge to others are clear advantages
